Ivory Coast loses first choice goal keeper due to doping ban

 Ivory coast have been hit a blow in their quest for the continental trophy as their first choice goal keeper syvian Gbohouo has been ban for doping after testing positive after taking some substance to combat he's eyes problems.

The Ivorian Fa made the announcement before their match with Equatorial quinea.

It could be recalled that Syvian has been their first choice at the previous Afcon in 2019 and played every match bar the final in 2015.

The Ivorian Fa have till 20 days to appeal the ruling.


Syvian Gbohouo who started their six qualifying matches have been indoors since the incident. Reports has it that he has lost weight.
